You can see another stalactite eye on the backside as well. The amethyst is growing atop an agate matrix and polished to a shine around the base. Amethyst Stalactites are formed beginning with one drop or mineral rich water, high in calcium carbonate. When the fist droplet falls it forms a ring like structure of calcite. Over time, droplet after droplet,
