Ferrando, Carema Etichetta Bianca, 2007 giro-bello-club all planted between 1960 andFerrando is the legendary grower of Carema, the tiny alpine appellation on the steep terraces where Piedmont climbs toward the Aosta Valley. Nebbiolo grown this high comes out perfumed and high toned, more delicate than Barolo yet long lived. The Etichetta Bianca (white label) is the estate's annual bottling, raised in a mix of large and small barrels. The 2007 was a warm, generous vintage, so this leans a touch riper and more open than the cooler
