Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils, Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee de Mon Aieul, 2016 so032025 anne sophie dubois 2023s all power and perfume andCuve de Mon Aeul is Pierre Usseglio's flagship: 100% Grenache from vines between 85 and 110 years old the kind of fruit that barely exists anymore in Chteauneuf du Pape. The parcels sit in Les Serres, Guigasse and La Crau, across sand, clay and the famous galets rouls, and the fruit goes into the tank as whole clusters with no destemming for a long fermentation of 30 to 45 days, then twelve months in half muids and concrete rather than new barrels.
