Antique Blue Jasperware Jug with Classical Relief England, c. 1890–1910 english pressed glass The Thirty-NinthA handsome late Victorian Edwardian blue jasperware jug, decorated in crisp white relief with classical figures, cherubs and landscape elements, framed by a Greek key border to the shoulder and base. The form is elegant and well balanced, with a pronounced pouring lip, loop handle and fitted metal mounted hinged lid, a feature commonly associated with high quality English jasperware jugs of the period. The deep cobalt ground provides strong contrast
